More Than Just A Bad Night's Sleep
Adequate sleep is essential for good physical and mental health. Lumping Sleep Disorders under one heading is quite inadequate, as there are said to be over 70 different types of sleep disorders, with a variety of causes. They can however be loosely classified under three headings: lack of sleep, disturbed sleep and excessive sleep.
Lack of sleep due to a sleep disorder can become physically and mentally debilitating. It can also be dangerous when concentration is affected. Sleep disorders can affect virtually every part of our life including our work and social life. People with severe sleep disorders need to be diagnosed and treated accordingly. Self medication can lead to tragic consequences.
I have lived in Asia for a number of years, and this seems to be one of the major issues faced by expats. Asian cities tend to go non-stop all night. There is always traffic and people out socializing till late at night. Just when that noise dies down the early morning hawkers start. Often neighbors with a very different body clock can be thrown into the mix. I have observed this situation leading to some very real health issues, and it has made me all the more aware of the necessity of good quality sleep.

Good and Bad Anger
Anger is a basic human emotion and we all get angry at times. It is a healthy physical response to a threat or a mental response to something that has already passed. It is necessary for survival. While we mostly deal with anger in a healthy way, there may be specific times or a period of time where anger takes control of us. When anger becomes a problem it has a run on effect, creating further physical, emotional and social problems.
